Course Overview
The Facilities Manager apprenticeship is a comprehensive Level 4 programme designed to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in a Facilities Manager role. With a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on experience you will build a solid foundation for a successful career in Facilities Management. The course covers areas such a strategic facilities management, financial management, legal and regulatory compliance, people management, sustainability, project management and managing stakeholders. During the course you will also achieve the IWFM Level 4 Diploma in Facilities Management.
The Facilities Manager apprenticeship is right for you if you are in a facilities management role and want to develop your problem-solving, project management and leadership skills. The course will expose you to all areas of Facilities Management and provides a great basis for future progression in the industry.
On completing the apprenticeship you will have achieved an industry recognised qualification and will also have the Level 4 IWFM Diploma in Facilities Management. You will also be eligible for Membership of the IWFM at Member grade. Having these qualifications and membership will open up opportunities for progression within Facilities Management. The nature of the course means that a lot of the management and leadership skills you will learn are transferable to other management and leadership positions and learning, for example moving into a more operational management role.
To be considered for the Level 4 Facilities Manager apprenticeshop you should have experience in facilities management and be employed in a suitable role. Employer support is essential and a commitment to professional development is expected. In some cases there may be a 5% co-investment charge to your employer of the funding value for the course. We advise that potential learners have a GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, without this then they will also need to study for the relevant Functional Skills alongside the apprenticeship.
