The Introduction to Pneumatics & Automation Course aims to support learners who have an interest in this subject and wish to pursue a career in engineering and robotics.

The course is also applicable to learners who have had a break in their education and who need to recap prior knowledge/develop study skills before embarking on a higher education course.

Learners may have completed a previous Engineering qualification and wish to progress onto higher-level qualifications, or to gain insight into the world of Industrial Robotics prior to making crucial career decisions.

This course is also applicable to learners who have had a break in their education and who need to recap prior knowledge/develop study skills before embarking on a higher education course.

This is part one of the Introduction to Robotics & Automation series. Part 2 will start in the Spring 2027.

This course could help support upskilling within your current role, which could then be used to progress into more senior/complex job roles or to support a career change into automation/industrial robotics sectors.

This course could also help support learners gaining employment in the industry of Advanced Manufacturing or to progress onto further study/higher education.

For entry onto this qualification learners must have a keen interest in Pneumatics (Automation). It would be beneficial to have an understanding of Industrial Robotics/Electrical engineering, but not essential.
