Course Overview
The Introduction to Robotics & Automation Course aims to support learners who have an interest in this subject and wish to pursue a career in engineering and robotics.
Learners may have completed a previous Engineering qualification and wish to progress onto higher-level qualifications, or to gain insight into the world of Industrial Robotics prior to making crucial career decisions.
This course will support learners who aspire to work within the Engineering/Robotics sectors and will help develop confidence and ability to support increased job opportunities.
The course is also applicable to learners who have had a break in their education and who need to recap prior knowledge/develop study skills before embarking on a higher education course.
During this 10-week course, our team will help you to navigate the basics of Robotics & Automation to enhance your CV for career progression.
This course includes the following modules:
• Safety
• Operational Modes
• Manual Movement (“Jogging”)
• Coordinate systems (World, Base, Tool)
• Basic movement programming (PTP, LIN, CIRC)
• Pick and Place programming
• Overview of offline programming (KUKA SIM)
This course will support upskilling within your current role, which can then be used to progress into more senior/complex job roles or to support a career change into automation/industrial robotics sectors.
This course will support learners gaining employment in the industry of Advanced Manufacturing or to progress onto further study/higher education.
For entry onto this qualification learners must have a keen interest in Pneumatics (Automation). It would be beneficial to have an understanding of Industrial Robotics/Electrical engineering, but not essential.
