Engineering Learners Benefit From Industry Insight Day

When we say Institute of Technology (IoT) students get access to meaningful interactions with global employers to complement their classroom learning, we really mean it.
Level 4 Engineering learners from NSCG Newcastle College have recently been hosted by IoT anchor partner Siemens at their Congleton base for a fantastic industry insight day. Learners had the opportunity to tour their state-of-the-art facilities, hear from expert speakers on Industry 4.0 & Technologies of Digitalisation, networked with current Siemens apprentices, and even enjoyed a Lean LEGO game, before wrapping up the day with a sector focused Q&A session.
Speaking of the collaboration, Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire IoT Director, Georgina Barnard, said: "A huge thank you to Dave Thomas, and the entire Siemens team for hosting our learners. This invaluable experience will provide crucial industry insights, valuable connections, and help to inspire future careers. It was a brilliantly planned day and the feedback from both staff and learners has been exceptional."
