Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology (IoT) Managing Director, Georgina Barnard, has today attended a launch event for Indurant's latest site development, based at Meaford, near Stone.
Commenting on the event, Vice Principal - IOT, Georgina Barnard, said: “At Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group, we are extremely proud of our long standing partnership with Indurent and the incredible work that they do to support skills development in the local area, they are also a proud anchor partner of the Institute of Technology. The support from the team at Indurent is fantastic, they go above and beyond what can reasonably be expected of any employer partner. The Meaford site is a really good example of the collaborative work being done. The team have captured digital footage of the development taking shape, starting with the design, surveying and planning through to project completion and the development that we see today. This footage is used in the classroom environment to bring theoretical discussions to life, allowing learners to visually see the development grow from a concept to a completed scheme. It is vitally important that we embed real life scenarios into our curriculum, giving students the real life skills and knowledge that employers need, thus helping them to secure sustainable employment. We can’t thank the Indurent team enough for their support.”
