Course Overview
The HTQ qualification is a specialised introduction into professional coaching industry in the UK landscape and different coaching methods. The study program is an exciting and informative way of developing students technical and academic understanding of coaching methods and how these can be applied within the community of coaches. The aim of the course is to develop core technical skills while preparing for the world of employment.
Students will gain a wide range of coaching knowledge that is linked to different sporting disciplines within the UK landscape. Students will study and learn in several ways through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. During the course there are opportunities to gain additional industry recognised coaching badges and first aid qualifications that enhance the learning and develop the individual technical skills ready for a career within Coaching.
By the end of Level 4, students will have sound knowledge of coaching concepts in the UK and be competent in a range of subject-specific and general skills.
We look forward to welcoming learners with passion, dedication and commitment to learning at a higher level. Applicants must have a relevant Level 3 qualification and hold a minimum GCSE English at grade 4/C or above. We also welcome applications from mature students and students with relevant experience but without formal qualifications. Those who already work within the indistry who wish to obtain accreditation for their skills and to enhance them, may also apply. All prospective students will be interviewed and assessed individually.
