Discover how lean thinking can transform your workplace. This highly practical one-day course explores the core tools and principles of the Toyota Production System to improve quality, eliminate waste and boost operational efficiency. Led by a tutor with over 20 years’ experience at Toyota UK, the course combines engaging activities, real-world examples and hands-on practice with lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S and Value Stream Mapping. Participants leave with the confidence to apply lean thinking immediately and lead meaningful, lasting improvements.
This course is taught at the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Institute of Technology, Stafford.

This course is ideal for anyone wanting hands-on experience of lean tools and techniques to help drive efficiency, improve processes and support continuous improvement in the workplace.
Where suitable, learners can progress to an Improvement or Management Apprenticeships to further develop their capability in leading change and operational improvement.
There are no formal entry requirements. The course is suitable for individuals at any level involved in operations, improvement or process development.
